Chalcid Wasps against White Flies
Chalcid wasps (Encarsia formosa) lay their eggs in the larvae of the white fly. The pest larvae change to a black colour after 10 to 30 days. Adult Chalcid Wasps hatch and search once more for pest larvae. The Encarsia female wasps lay between 50 and 100 eggs in their lifetime. An adult Chalcid Wasp becomes approx. 0.6 mm long. The females have a yellow back.
