Already the Romans used Marshmallow as a medicinal herb and soup dressing. However, back then they tended to use all the parts of the plant (flowers, leaves and roots). Nowadays, on the contrary, only the best leaves are chosen to garnish - for example - salads. Marshmallow acts as a balsam which makes it perfect for tea.
Preparation: add 2 teaspoons per cup to cold water and let it rest for several hours. Stir occasionally and filter.
